Central Spokesperson of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians and Member of National Assembly, Shazia Marri, distributed home ownership certificates to 372 flood-affected women in Taluka Khapro.
Administrators, local dignitaries, and a large number of people from the area were present at the ceremony. This event marks a significant milestone in the Sindh government’s ongoing flood relief efforts. Shazia Marri stated that the project aims to provide secure housing, enabling affected families to rebuild their lives. She mentioned that the Sindh government has constructed 2.1 million houses under the “Sindh Peoples Housing for Flood Affectees” program.
Shazia Marri emphasized that the Peoples Party is committed to Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s goal of women’s empowerment. She said that the Benazir Income Support Program assists numerous families, demonstrating the Peoples Party’s commitment to supporting vulnerable segments of society.
Following the instructions of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Sindh government has prioritized housing for flood victims. According to Shazia Marri, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari desires that all affected families have proper homes. She added that President Asif Ali Zardari continues Benazir Bhutto’s work, including numerous initiatives for women’s development.
Shazia Marri declared that the Peoples Party champions the rights of the deprived class and continues to take concrete steps for their welfare. The women who received home ownership expressed gratitude to the Peoples Party and the Sindh government, saying that they have addressed their concerns and given them new hope.
