In a significant crackdown against corruption, six food inspectors of the Sindh Food Department were immediately dismissed from their posts today on the direct instructions of Provincial Food Minister Makhdoom Mehboob-uz-Zaman.
As part of this major initiative to address serious corruption within the department, several officials have been removed from their duties.
Among those dismissed are Food Inspectors Sharif Bhutto, Mumtaz Ali Jatoi, and Bashir Ahmed Magasi.
Additionally, Khalid Hussain Magasi, Naseebullah Brohi, and Muhammad Ali Ajan have also been removed from their positions.
The officials faced serious allegations of bribery, misuse of funds, and discrepancies regarding wheat stocks, as confirmed by Provincial Food Minister Makhdoom Mehboob-uz-Zaman.
Minister Zaman further added that strict legal action would be initiated against the culprits, and all financial losses incurred by the government treasury would be fully recovered.
