61 ADP schemes worth Rs5738.16 million to complete this year: Meeting told

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Mines and Minerals, Rural Development (RD) and Public Health Engineering (PHE), Mir Shabbir Ali Bijarani Friday presided over a meeting to review the progress of schemes under Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2020-21 at his office in Sindh Secretariat Karachi. The meeting was attended by Secretary PHE and RD Department Saeed Awan and concerned officers of PHE and RD department from all districts of the province.

 

On this occasion, Provincial Minister directed the officers that all the schemes of Annual Development Programme (ADP) of Public Health Engineering and Rural Development Department must be completed within stipulated time. He added: “When the finance department has timely released the required funds then why some of the schemes are not upto the mark.”

 

He warned them that in case of any delay on the part of PHE and RD department, the relevant officer would held be responsible. He said that the Government of Sindh is very keen to facilitate the people of the province and in this connection, the provincial government is paying special attention to the schemes of water, drainage and others so that the people be provided maximum possible relief. The officers of RD department presented schemewise progress report through maps and charts and it was informed that 61 ADP schemes of Rs5738.160 million to be completed by the end of this year. It is further informed that due to some land issues there is some delay in some of the Schemes.

 

Bijarani directed the officers that the land issues should immediately be resolved with the help of district administration. Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has been very keen to complete the development schemes of the province on time, he concluded.
