IBA test pass outs hold demo for offer letters

LARKANA: The candidates who passed the IBA test for appointment as Primary School Teachers (PSTs) and JESTs of BPS-14 staged a sit-in and held a large protest outside the office of the Director of Education Primary against not receiving the offer orders, where they also raised slogans with placards in their hands on Tuesday.

On this occasion, the candidates Imran Ali Sangi, Sarmad Palijo, Saddam and others told the journalists that they passed the test through IBA Sukkur for the recruitment of primary school teachers and junior elementary school teachers in the education department during the month of September 2022, after which the merit list was published. They said that our names were also given, out of which some of the candidates passed were issued offer orders, and others, including us, were added to the waiting list and have continuously been deprived of offer orders which is vivid discrimination in the current massive unemployment and inflation era

They alleged that there is concern that Director Primary School Education Larkana Gulsher Soomro and District Education Officer Primary Anisur Rahman Jalbani, clerks and other staff have given us an answer before issuing the offer order that we cannot be appointed due to unavailability of seats which is great injustice. They said so many other candidates including females are waiting to receive offer orders but political backed candidates are being appointed who secured less marks but those who do not have any political support are being treated indifferently which is shameful.

They appealed to the Chief Minister of Sindh, the Provincial Minister of Education Department and other officials to provide jobs for primary school teachers and junior elementary school teachers in the education department purely on merit as claimed and take strict action against the officials of the education department who changed the merit list in which clerks are involved, otherwise, the scope of the protest will be increased.
