MIRPURKHAS: Member of National Assembly Mir Munawar Ali Khan Talpur has said that the people would be provided all basic facilities of life, including health, at their doorsteps, and District Headquarters Hospital Mirpurkhas is its living example.
This achievement has been made by the Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party. This hospital is the best divisional level hospital in the city, he said while inaugurating the surgical ward in the hospital.
Other orthopedic surgeries that were closed for the past 10 years had been revived, Talpur informed. In private hospitals, the same surgery is being conducted for Rs70,000 to Rs1 lakh, while here it is free of cost. Eye operation theater is also ready to operate soon, he added.
Five OTs are functioning in the hospital while the cost of an OT is four crore rupees, he said and added that the shortage of doctors had been overcome to a large extent. The posts of doctors in the hospital are 112 while 67 doctors are presently working here. The shortage of remaining doctors will also be met soon, Talpur concluded.
