A man was killed and another was injured in a traffic incident on the National Highway near Gujjo town in Thatta district on Sunday.
According to a police report, the two men, Zohaib Thaheem and Nasrullah haheem, were crossing the road near village Ahmedabad haheem , about 10 kilometers from Thatta, when they were struck by a speeding car.
As a result, Zohaib died on the spot, while Nasrullah sustained serious injuries. Both were taken to the Rural Health Center in Gharo, where Nasrullah’s condition was deemed critical, and he was subsequently transferred to Karachi for further treatment.
The body of the deceased was handed over to the family after the necessary legal formalities. The news of Zohaib’s death cast a pall of grief over the entire area as the village mourned his loss. Meanwhile, the driver of the car managed to flee the scene.
The Gujjo police have lodged a report and started investigation into the incident. No arrest could be made till filing this report.
