The Election Commission is undermining the public mandate in Gilgit-Baltistan; Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam has made allegations of electoral rigging in Gilgit-Baltistan, particularly in the constituencies of GBA-17 Diamer 03 Darel and GBA-15 Diamer 01.

Aslam Ghori, spokesperson of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), today accused the Election Commission of allegedly undermining the public mandate. Aslam Ghori stated that the anticipated victories of Haji Rahmat Khaliq and Mufti Wali ur Rehman are being thwarted through alleged vote rigging.

Ghori claims that the results of Mufti Wali ur Rehman are being deliberately delayed to alter the electoral outcomes, even though Rehman is reportedly in the lead.

The delay in announcing the electoral results has raised questions about the transparency of the electoral process. Ghori has demanded the immediate release of results to ensure justice and accountability.

The JUI spokesperson has warned that the Election Commission will bear full responsibility for any unrest or damage resulting from these allegations. As the situation develops, demands for transparency and immediate action are echoing throughout the region.
