Decision to install large screens in various cities of Sindh for football world cup fans

To promote community spirit and enhance the excitement of sports, the Sindh government’s Department of Sports and Youth Affairs has planned to display the semi-final and final matches of the Football World Cup on large screens at various locations. The aim of this initiative is to provide residents with a collective viewing experience of this anticipated global tournament.

Sindh’s Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Khan Mahar, announced today that the semi-final matches to be held on 15 and 16 July and the final on 20 July will be shown on large screens at the Youth Development Center in Sharafi Goth, District Malir, Karachi.

This initiative extends beyond Karachi, where large screens will also be installed at Samdia Hotel in Hashim Town, Shaheed Benazirabad, Khuda Complex in Larkana, Sindh Sports Board Hostel in Hyderabad, and Gamma Stadium in Mirpurkhas. This extensive coverage ensures that football fans across Sindh can partake in the excitement.

In Sukkur, both the semi-final and final matches will be shown at the Municipal Stadium, while fans in Rohri will be able to watch the final at Rohri Football Ground. Additionally, all three matches will be available at Sardar Ali Muhammad Khan Mahar Sports Complex in Ghotki. In Thatta, the final match will be broadcast at Thatta Sports Complex.

Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Khan Mahar highlighted the Sindh government’s commitment to promoting sports and organizing engaging activities for the youth. He emphasized that such collective events are crucial for strengthening the sports culture in the province and instilling enthusiasm among the youth.
