The model trial court of Khairpur today sentenced Shahid Ali Sheikh to life imprisonment for the murder of Allah Wasayo Sheikh.
Judge Liaqat Ali Khoso delivered the verdict related to the tragic incident that occurred on May 25, 2022, on the Ranipur-Kumb Link Road. In addition to life imprisonment, Shahid Ali Sheikh has been fined 200,000 rupees, and in case of non-payment, an additional two years of imprisonment will be imposed.
Furthermore, the court ordered compensation of 1 million rupees to be paid to the family of the deceased, Allah Wasayo Sheikh.
In another legal development, Shahid Ali Sheikh was sentenced to ten years in prison along with a fine of 100,000 rupees in an unrelated case of possessing illegal weapons.
