In Karachi today, police arrested two injured suspects involved in shootouts with suspected robbers in two separate incidents, while another managed to escape.
Near Aziz Bhatti Park in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, a fierce exchange of gunfire took place between law enforcement agencies and alleged criminals. As a result of this clash, Mehboob Ali, son of Somar, was arrested after being injured in the encounter. Authorities recovered a pistol, bullets, and a motorcycle from Ali. He was immediately transferred to a medical center for treatment and investigations are ongoing.
On the same day, in a separate incident, police officers encountered a similar situation near Premier College in Block H of North Nazimabad. During this shootout, Syed Ilyas Hussain, son of Syed Gauhar Hussain, was injured and taken into custody, while his accomplice managed to escape.
Police confiscated a weapon, bullets, stolen mobile phones, cash, and a motorcycle from Hussain. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, and investigations are ongoing to track down the escaped suspect.
