A protest, led by the Sindh United Party, was held in Sakrand against the unannounced gas load shedding and adding extra charges in the gas bills.
The protesters accused the Sui gas administration of severe load shedding across the city, causing hardships to the residents. They highlighted that students and office-goers had been forced to leave their homes without breakfast, while women were unable to cook meals even during the day due to the gas shortages.
The protesters pointed out that while gas is being supplied to posh areas, most parts of the city areas are facing unjustified load shedding. They warned that if the Sui gas administration did not address the issue, the scope of the protest would be expanded, and a sit-in would be staged in front of the Sui gas office.
