A shutterdown strike was observed in various small and large towns of Thatta on Sunday against the project of extracting a canal from the Indus River.
Due to the strike, all business centers, petrol pumps, and hotels in Thatta city remained closed, resulting in a lack of public transport on the roads. Passengers traveling to other cities faced severe difficulties.
This strike was called on the appeal of nationalist parties, who oppose the project of extracting a canal from the Indus River. They have demanded the Sindh government to immediately halt this project, which they label as anti-Sindh.
