India’s forcible occupation of Kashmir is illegal: Khokhar

The central president of Pasban-e-Watan Pakistan, Muhammad Tahir Khokhar, stated today that India’s forcible occupation of Kashmir is not only illegal but also a grave crime against humanity.

He emphasized that the right to freedom for the Kashmiri people is a fundamental right that cannot be suppressed.

Speaking to the media, Muhammad Tahir Khokhar said that Pakistan and Kashmir cannot be separated because Kashmir is the lifeline of Pakistan. He asserted that the people of Pakistan and their armed forces will continue to support the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

He labeled India as a terrorist state, stating that India has become a symbol of fear not only for Kashmiris but also for minorities within its own country. He mentioned that minorities in India are being oppressed and mosques are being demolished.

Muhammad Tahir Khokhar accused Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government of promoting anti-minority policies. He claimed that Hindu extremism is being supported at the official level in India.

He praised the recent statement by the Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, saying that it reflects the sentiments of the Pakistani nation. He urged the international community not to remain silent observers of the genocide of Kashmiris.

He called on the United Nations, OIC, and human rights organizations to grant Kashmiris the right to self-determination as per UN resolutions. Tahir Khokhar asserted that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people will not go in vain and that Pakistan will continue its political, diplomatic, and moral support for them.
