Breach in Phuleli Canal Floods Several Villages, Submerges Agricultural Land

A breach in the New Phuleli Canal near Seri, Hyderabad, has flooded several villages and submerged hundreds of acres of agricultural land. The incident, which occurred late last night on the right side of RD 122, has affected several villages, including Norae Sharif, Qambro Nee, Kamdar Mallah, and Loong Mallah, impacting many residents and their crops.

Rescue 1122 Hyderabad immediately started evacuating stranded residents from the affected areas. Those rescued included several women and children.

Mayor Kashif Shoro, Mukhtiar Latif, and irrigation officials were also present at the site to oversee the relief efforts and begin repair work on the breached section of the canal. The breach in the canal wall is being attributed to high water pressure.
