Maryam Nawaz distributes ration cards among 2,600 factory workers in Okara

Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has introduced a new program to support factory workers in Punjab. Under this initiative, Maryam Nawaz ration cards were distributed among 2,600 factory workers in Okara. Member of National Assembly Chaudhry Riaz-ul-Haq Juj and Member of Provincial Assembly Mian Muhammad Munir supervised the distribution.

Director Social Security Sahiwal, Mian Zulfiqar Ali, briefed the participants on the benefits of the ration cards. Assistant Commissioner Okara Rab Nawaz Chadhar, Deputy Director Social Security Hassan Asghar, other officials, and numerous factory workers along with their families were present on the occasion.

The workers thanked Chief Minister Sharif and Provincial Minister for Manpower Faisal Ayub Khokhar for this initiative. The labor community praised Minister Khokhar’s dedication to the welfare of the workers.

The ration cards will provide a monthly subsidy of Rs. 3,000, a 20% discount on groceries, insurance coverage of Rs. 300,000, and financial assistance of Rs. 200,000 in case of permanent disability. This program is being hailed as a long-awaited benefit for the working class.

The Social Security Department also announced plans to establish a modern school for the children of workers, reflecting the government’s ongoing efforts for public welfare under the leadership of Chief Minister Sharif. Further initiatives for community betterment are expected.
