29 Drug Dealers Arrested in Punjab, 42,970 Challans Issued for Traffic Violations

Significant results have been achieved in the daily operations against criminals by Punjab Police under the Chief Minister’s “Safe Punjab” campaign. In an anti-narcotics operation, one hundred individuals were arrested, cases were registered against them, and a notable quantity of drugs was seized.

To ensure public safety across the province, 379 searches were conducted, resulting in the questioning of 12,140 individuals and the detention of 29 suspects. 66 individuals involved in electricity theft, causing financial losses to the government, were arrested and 153 cases were registered against them. In a crackdown against the dangerous practice of kite-flying, six individuals were arrested and cases were registered against them.

During the ongoing traffic laws enforcement campaign, 18,061 driving licenses were issued and 42,970 challans were issued for traffic violations, resulting in the collection of Rs. 24 million in fines. Furthermore, 2,581 citizens availed themselves of 21 services offered at police facilitation centers.
