Khairpur: High-Level Meeting Reviews Monsoon Rehabilitation Works

On the directives of the Sindh government and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Deputy Commissioner Fayaz Hussain Rahojo reviewed monsoon preparations, drainage systems, rehabilitation works, and contingency plans in Khairpur district. He visited Thari Mirwah taluka, Starjah town, and Tando Mir Ali town, inspecting pumps, backup generators, drainage operations, and staff deployment at several drainage locations. He ordered that all motors and generators at pumping facilities be fully operational, with strict monitoring, ensuring staff attendance, and zero tolerance for negligence.

Rahojo also surveyed Talpur Wada and other pumping stations, directing engineers to take immediate action. Assistant Commissioner Saleem Hussain Gadani, Town Officer Starjah Ayub Phalyo, Vice Chairman Tando Mir Ali Abdul Majeed, Stakeholder Tanveer Kalwar, Deputy Director Information Syed Sajid Hussain Shah, Wasim Gul Solangi, and other officers and engineers participated. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the safety of citizens from potential rain and flood scenarios is the top priority of the local government and relevant agencies. He said that administrative procedures at all levels should be efficient and mutually cooperative to provide rapid relief in any crisis.
