The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is holding a three-day auction of commercial plots and shops in Islamabad, attracting keen interest from investors. The event, which began today and runs until July 17 at the Jinnah Convention Centre, features 46 properties, including prime locations in the Blue Area and parking plaza units.
The auction, conducted through an open bidding system, is being overseen by senior CDA officials, including Member Estate Talat Mehmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, and Member Planning Dr Khalid Hafeez, under the guidance of CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa. A dedicated oversight body, led by Member Finance Tahir Naeem, has also been established to ensure transparency.
Concurrent with the auction, CDA is hosting an Investment Expo at the Jinnah Convention Centre. Information kiosks staffed by representatives from various departments, such as the Environment Wing, Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), and the Sports and Culture Directorate, are providing information to potential investors.
To encourage investment, the CDA is offering financial incentives, including a 5% discount for complete payments within 30 days and a further 5% reduction for lump-sum payments in US currency. Support personnel are available to guide investors through the process.
Chairman Randhawa stated that proceeds from the auction will fund Islamabad’s development, encompassing new sector construction, roadway enhancements, and aesthetic improvements, with the goal of making Islamabad a model metropolis.
