Demonstrations against newly implemented property taxes and unscheduled power failures brought traffic to a standstill on the N-50 national highway near Garng toll plaza in Balochistan”s Killa Saifullah District on Thursday.
The Zamindar Action Committee, Traders Union, and Transporters Union organized the protest, leading to extensive vehicle backups on both sides of the Zhob-Dera Ismail Khan route.
The roadway remained closed as of the latest reports.
