Vaccination against Hepatitis-B, Diarrhea, Pneumonia, Measles, Tetanus, and Polio for children will begin in Sukkur on Monday. This was stated by Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Naheed Ahmed Mirani while addressing a review meeting. Assistant Commissioner Saleh Pat, Majid Mako, District Health Officer Dr. Ali Gul Shah, along with representatives of WHO, Rotary Club, private schools and government departments attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the recent performance of the health department, including achievements, challenges, and improvement strategies. Mirani emphasized the collective responsibility of the government, health workers and parents in providing the necessary vaccinations to children. She stressed the importance of vaccination to protect children aged zero to two years from diseases such as hepatitis B, diarrhea, pneumonia, measles, tetanus, and polio. Parents were urged to play their crucial role in safeguarding the health of their children. The meeting aimed to promote collective efforts to expand and strengthen vaccination programs at the local level.
