9,525 Challans Issued, 117 Vehicles Impounded for One-Way Violations in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi traffic authorities are cracking down on one-way driving violations. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam ordered a robust operation, deploying additional personnel at 44 locations across the district to curb these violations. A spokesperson confirmed that traffic officers at these points are issuing challans to all violators.

Since the beginning of this month, authorities have issued 9,525 challans for one-way driving violations and impounded 117 vehicles. CTO Aslam has adopted a zero-tolerance approach towards these violations, terming them a major cause of traffic congestion and accidents.

This strict enforcement has yielded positive results, improving traffic flow and reducing the number of accidents. Aslam announced that the next phase of the operation will include license suspensions in addition to fines for one-way driving. He appealed to the public to prioritize safety and avoid risking their lives and the lives of others to save a few moments.
