Saudi Arabia has donated four buses to the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), strengthening the bond between the two nations. Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf Said Al-Malki, inaugurated the buses at a ceremony held at the university’s new campus on Tuesday.
The ambassador emphasized the strong relationship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, highlighting IIUI’s special significance for the kingdom. He expressed gratitude to the university’s president and administration for their warm welcome.
IIUI President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, thanked the Saudi government for the generous contribution, stating that such assistance reinforces bilateral ties and aids the university’s students and employees.
Prior to the inauguration, Ambassador Al-Malki received a briefing on IIUI’s transportation system from Syed Hassan Aftab, Director of the Central Transport Unit. IIUI Vice Presidents, Saudi faculty members, and senior university officials also participated in the ceremony. The donation underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to the university’s expansion and providing enhanced transportation for its students.
