Public Service – Islamabad Police Extend Service Hours, Crackdown On Unlicensed Drivers Soon

Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi led a late-night meeting focused on enhancing public services, particularly driving license issuance and around-the-clock accessibility to traffic police assistance.

Senior officers, including the DIG Islamabad, were present. The IGP directed officers to expedite license processing and improve public convenience. The traffic police office at Faizabad will now operate 24/7, joining the existing F-6 Khidmat Markaz. Police Khidmat Markaz centers will extend their hours to 9 PM, with new service counters added.

Future plans include offering traffic services at all police stations. Eleven Police Khidmat Markaz locations now issue driving licenses, aiming for greater citizen accessibility.

The Islamabad Capital Police urges all residents to secure their driving licenses before October 1st. Starting that date, driving without a license will lead to FIR filing, arrests, and vehicle seizures. The traffic police are conducting public awareness campaigns on this policy.

The IGP emphasized the Islamabad Police”s commitment to maintaining order, preventing crime, and providing comprehensive citizen services.
