The Commission for Protection of Journalists has strongly condemned the murder of reporter Tufail Rind in Mirpur Mathelo, demanding an immediate and complete investigation into this brutal killing, which has sent a wave of concern through the journalist community. Tufail Rind was serving as the General Secretary of the Mirpur Press Club.
Expressing serious concern in a statement, the Commission’s Chairman, Aijaz Ahmed Memon, has termed the murder “extremely alarming.” He has requested a comprehensive report on the incident from the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sukkur to ascertain all the facts of the crime.
The Commission has demanded immediate action from law enforcement agencies. Chairman Memon emphasized that those involved in the journalist’s murder must be arrested without delay and brought to justice to ensure accountability for this heinous act.
