Diplomacy – Saudi Shoura Council Speaker to Bolster Strategic Ties

A high-level delegation from the Saudi Shoura Council, led by its Speaker Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh, is scheduled to land in Islamabad today for a pivotal visit aimed at reinforcing the strategic partnership and parliamentary cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

In a statement released ahead of the arrival, Speaker Al Sheikh underscored the deep-rooted and strategic nature of the relationship shared by the two nations. He conveyed optimism that the official visit would be instrumental in creating fresh avenues for collaboration.

The visit is anticipated to foster enhanced cooperation between the Saudi Shoura Council and Pakistan”s bicameral legislature, comprising the National Assembly and the Senate.

The agenda includes official discussions between Speaker Al Sheikh and his Pakistani counterpart, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the speaker of the National Assembly.

Furthermore, the Saudi delegation will engage in meetings with several other senior Pakistani officials. These dialogues will focus on reviewing the current state of bilateral relations and exploring comprehensive ways to further strengthen these enduring ties.
