Pakistan Vows Iron-Fisted Response to Armed Uprising and Extremism

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi today issued a stark warning that taking up arms against the state is an uncrossable line, declaring that the government will show no leniency to those who take the law into their own hands.

During a high-level meeting with Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan Secretary General Allama Shah Owais Noorani in the capital, the minister asserted that there is no place for miscreants and radicals in the Pakistan envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam. He affirmed that elements spreading unrest, chaos, and extremism will be dealt with an iron hand.

The Interior Minister acknowledged the valuable role of religious scholars in fostering interfaith harmony and patience. He emphasized that all segments of society must contribute to ensuring lasting peace, tolerance, and concord. The promotion of religious education, he added, is a collective responsibility.

In a significant development, it was mutually agreed that no punitive action would be taken against any innocent person, and all individuals found to be blameless will be released. Both leaders also came to a consensus that no madrassa will be closed.

The discussion concluded with a shared understanding that troublemakers will be confronted strictly. Allama Shah Owais Noorani assured his full cooperation to the government”s efforts in promoting sustainable peace, tolerance, and brotherhood across the country.
