The Christian community does not need aid, should be made empowered, educated, and skilled citizens: Minorities Peoples Alliance Pakistan

Minorities Peoples Alliance Pakistan Chairman Yaqoob Sharif Gill made an impassioned appeal, emphasizing the crucial role of education in the prosperity of families and the nation. Addressing a ceremony held on Monday to promote education and skills within the Christian community, Gill stressed that skipping a meal might be tolerable, but neglecting a child’s education is not.

He criticized the tradition of giving aid checks to the Christian community, advocating instead for empowerment through education and skill development. Gill highlighted the potential of initiatives like the “Aunty Parveen Saleem Skill Center,” stating that such institutions can enable Christian youth to play a significant role in the nation’s economy.

The event was attended by party leaders Riasat Shahid, Asif Nazir, and chief guest Ilyas Shera, while the achievements of young learners were also celebrated. Iqbal Khurshid and Nadeem Bashir Gill congratulated the certificate recipients and prayed for their future success.

Thanking patron-in-chief Saleem Khurshid Khokhar, Gill acknowledged his crucial role in training a self-reliant younger generation. He affirmed the party’s commitment to ensuring every Christian child in Pakistan receives an education and skills, stressing that such measures are vital for the country’s progress.

Expressing patriotic sentiments, Yaqoob Sharif Gill reiterated support for the Pakistan Army, paid tribute to the sacrifices of the nation’s martyrs, and concluded with the enthusiastic slogan: Pakistan Army Zindabad, Pakistan Zindabad.
