Professor Dr. Shahid Qureshi, Rector of GIFT University, has called on university students to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, stressing its critical importance in navigating the modern economic landscape shaped by emerging digital trends.
According to a statement by the university today, the appeal was made during an online seminar titled ‘Entrepreneurial Mindset,’ organized by the University of Turbat’s (UoT) Department of Management Sciences on November 13, 2025.
Serving as the event”s resource person, Dr. Qureshi provided attendees with valuable insights into core entrepreneurial concepts, including the “Birds-in-Hand Principle.” He encouraged participants to think innovatively and generate new ideas that could create opportunities for themselves and benefit society.
The virtual gathering attracted a diverse audience, including learners and educators from the UoT”s departments of Management Sciences, Chemistry, Education, Commerce, and Economics. Academic staff and students from colleges affiliated with the university also participated in the discourse.
In his remarks, Dr. Ghulam Jan, the Head of the Department of Management Sciences, expressed his gratitude to Dr. Qureshi for dedicating his time and sharing his expertise. He also commended the active involvement of faculty members, including Mr. Chakar Faiz, and acknowledged the valuable presence of instructors from various affiliated colleges who attended the program.
