Capital Police Launch District-Wide Open Courts to Directly Address Public Grievances

The Islamabad Police command today directed all senior officers to conduct open courts across the district, establishing a new policy aimed at directly hearing and resolving citizen complaints, according to a statement from the Islamabad Capital Police.

According to a police report, the directive was highlighted by Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Muhammad Jawad Tariq, who recently held one such public forum at his office. During the session, he addressed various citizen concerns and issued immediate orders for their settlement.

DIG Tariq emphasized that the initiative aligns with instructions from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. He also reminded the public that the “IGP Complaint Cell 1715” remains an available channel for registering issues.

In compliance with the high command”s order, all zonal Superintendents of Police (SPs) are now organizing similar outreach sessions in their respective jurisdictions. The DIG added that the force is dedicated to proactively engaging with the community to resolve their problems effectively.

The police department has encouraged every resident of the capital to openly share their difficulties at these forums, reiterating that the redressal of public grievances is the organization”s utmost priority.
