The Citizens Alliance Nasirabad has established a protest camp in front of the center from today for the restoration of the Rural Health Center, in which the restoration of the Taluka Hospital and the full activation of the Rural Health Center are being demanded. A large number of citizens are present in the protest camp. Singer Noonari, Zahid Tunio, Ijaz Shaikh, Zamir Mugheri, Bakhsh Ali Mugheri, Yasin Phulpoti, and other leaders said that due to the non-functionality of the Taluka Hospital, thousands of people are deprived of basic medical facilities. The closure of essential services like the emergency room, labor room, and operation theater in the hospital is a matter of shame for the government. They stressed that the limited resources of the Rural Health Center should be enhanced with full facilities as it is the need of the hour. Singer pointed out that due to the hospital’s closure, people have to travel 30 to 40 kilometers to other cities for treatment, which increases the hardships of the poor. The immediate restoration of the Taluka Hospital and the provision of doctors, emergency staff, and medicines at the Rural Health Center were demanded. Singer warned that if practical steps are not taken by the government, their protest camp will continue.
