A proclaimed offender was taken into custody during a targeted police operation against the sale of prohibited items in the Moosa Colony area.

Law enforcement officials confirmed on Tuesday that in the operation conducted by personnel from the Gulberg police station, a person allegedly involved in the distribution of gutka and mawa was arrested.

During the raid, authorities seized 55 packets of the prohibited tobacco products from the suspect. Additionally, Rs. 750 in cash were also recovered from the scene, believed to be proceeds from the illegal trade.

The arrested individual has been taken into custody and a formal investigation into the matter is underway.
