Talks begin for cooperation between central banks of Pakistan and Bahrain

Pakistan and Bahrain have today launched talks to explore cooperation between their central banks and form joint teams to develop a roadmap for an enhanced economic partnership, signaling a strategic pivot towards the fintech and banking sectors.

This understanding was reached during high-level talks in Manama between Pakistan”s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Bahrain”s Minister of Finance and National Economy, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.

The two officials reiterated a mutual commitment to bolster bilateral relations, with a particular emphasis on financial and economic cooperation.

The meeting occurred as part of an official visit to the Gulf state by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is being accompanied by Foreign Minister Dar.
