Demonstration in front of Badin Press Club on the appeal of Lar Sajag Tehreek against the growing drug business in Badin

On the appeal of Lar Sajag Tehreek, a protest demonstration was held today in front of the Badin Press Club against the growing drug business in Badin.

The protest against the growing drug business in the district was led by prominent political, social, and business figures, including Khalifa Tariq Memon, Syed Zain Shah, Shujaat Khawaja, and Kashif Qamrani.

Addressing the gathering, the speakers said that the open sale of dangerous drugs like gutka, ice, charas, theri, and safina has brought the young generation to the brink of destruction. They maintained that this heinous business is flourishing due to political patronage, causing the youth to fall prey to disease, criminal activities, and social decay.

The leaders further elaborated that due to the rampant use of drugs, serious diseases, including cancer, have increased. They described a widespread atmosphere of fear and panic, stating that the alleys, markets, and roads of the district’s urban and rural areas have become unsafe for the public.

The protestors demanded the complete eradication of the drug menace from Badin district. They demanded the immediate arrest of all influential dealers and their facilitators involved in this illegal business.

At the conclusion of their address, the organizers warned that if the authorities do not take decisive action, the scope of the protest movement will be expanded.
