Inauguration of sewerage line repair and paver block streets projects in Karachi West UCs

Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab today inaugurated projects for the restoration of the sewerage system, repair of lines, and installation of new paver blocks in the streets in Union Councils 38 and 39 of District West.

Accompanying Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, was Peoples Party Karachi Division General Secretary Rauf Nagori.

In a statement, the Mayor confirmed that the project includes a comprehensive upgrading, repair, and complete restoration of sewerage lines. He further added that “various development projects, including the installation of paver blocks, are rapidly underway.”

Mayor Wahab issued directives to the relevant municipal departments to “further accelerate the pace of development works” and address the ongoing drainage challenges at the Union Committee level.

He emphasized that public convenience, sanitation, and urban improvement are key objectives, and said that providing better facilities to residents is the “top priority of the Pakistan Peoples Party.”

According to the Mayor, the administration aims to achieve a “permanent solution to urban problems” by improving service delivery in the Union Committees.

Wahab concluded, “The restoration of basic infrastructure in the areas will provide clear relief to the public.”
