During a grand Sindh Culture Day celebration held today at the Khairpur College of Agricultural and Management Sciences, academics emphasized the vital link between cultural identity and societal progress, urging the younger generation to connect with their heritage for development.
With enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, the event transformed into a memorable cultural festival, dedicated to showcasing Sindh’s history, traditions, and literary values.
Students presented colorful tableaus that richly depicted the region’s traditional attire, folk heritage, and social customs. These performances showcased the province’s centuries-old cultural aesthetics and hospitality, which were highly appreciated by the audience.
The celebration also had a strong intellectual dimension, with students presenting the poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, Shaikh Ayaz, and other renowned Sindhi poets. The selected verses carried powerful messages of peace, love, tolerance, and humanity.
In his address, College Principal Dr. Syed Ali Raza Shah stated that the day is an expression of national identity and cultural greatness. He stressed that when the youth remain connected to their culture and language, new doors of educational and social progress open up, and he praised the students for their excellent discipline and performance.
In his speech, Dr. Hafiz-ur-Rehman said that education not only strengthens professional success but also fosters cultural awareness. He emphasized that educated and aware youth are the real strength to introduce Sindh’s cultural heritage on a global stage.
