Cameras also installed in Khairpur, E-Challan Facilitation Center established at Police Headquarters

Police authorities in Khairpur have issued a stern warning to citizens following the launch of the new e-ticketing system to transfer the ownership of a vehicle immediately after its sale, otherwise, the previous owner will be responsible for fines incurred for traffic violations. Under this directive, the responsibility has been placed on vehicle buyers to promptly update the registration documents to protect previous owners from fines.

SSP Khairpur Dr. Samiullah Soomro today formally inaugurated the E-Challan Facilitation Center at the Police Headquarters. This step was taken on the orders of IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon to modernize the traffic system in the region.

Under the new automated system, computerized e-challans will be issued for traffic violations such as speeding, wrong parking, and red light violations through surveillance cameras. The newly established center will assist the public in paying fines and providing other related information.

Authorities have made several important conditions mandatory for all drivers. Vehicle number plates must be clean and correct, and it is mandatory to carry a valid driving license and vehicle documents at all times.

Citizens have been urged to correctly update their mobile numbers with the vehicle’s registration data to receive notifications. Those with incomplete documents are instructed to correct their number plates and complete their vehicle registration in a timely manner to comply with the new laws. Fines issued via e-challan must be paid within the stipulated period.
