The Sindh government has decided to introduce an e-challan system in the provincial Food Authority to enhance transparency and public service after its successful implementation in the Traffic Department.
Details of this technical project were shared today by Provincial Minister for Food, Makhdoom Mehboob Zaman, during a meeting with PPP Women’s Wing Central President Ms. Faryal Talpur.
Minister Zaman explained that this digitalization initiative will include an online registration portal, a new complaint management system, and a digital challan process for violations.
He added that the Sindh Food Authority is committed to providing better and transparent facilities to the public through these modern reforms.
During the meeting, the provincial minister also briefed on the authority’s recent actions against suppliers of substandard food items.
Ms. Faryal Talpur was also given a comprehensive briefing on the government’s policy regarding the department’s wheat reserves.
