UVAS Vice-Chancellor Clinches Singular National Science Award for 2025

The Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS) has conferred its prestigious Gold Medal-2025 upon Prof Dr Muhammad Younus, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore. The national award is bestowed upon only one scientist annually from all universities across Pakistan within the designated category.

According to the university statement today, Dr. Younus received the honor in recognition of his extensive research work in Agriculture Sciences, which encompasses Veterinary Sciences and Forestry.

The medal was presented by Distinguished National Prof Dr Kauser Abdullah Malik at a ceremony hosted at the Pakistan Academy of Sciences Auditorium.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the President of PAS, Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood Khan, and its Secretary General, Distinguished National Prof Dr Muhammad Aslam Baig.

Upon the announcement, UVAS faculty members, staff, and various industry stakeholders from the livestock, poultry, dairy, meat, and pharmaceutical sectors congratulated Prof Dr Muhammad Younus on his achievement.
