In view of the severe cold wave in the area, essential winter packages were provided to 100 poor and deserving families as part of a joint effort to protect them from the harsh weather. This aid was distributed through a mutual collaboration between Al-Khidmat Foundation and Khudi Welfare Organization.
Addressing a ceremony held on this occasion on Monday at Water Filtration Plant Road, Al-Khidmat Sindh’s Deputy Director Kanwar Rashid Makram emphasized that the foundation’s fundamental principle is to serve humanity without discrimination of color and race. He described this distribution, held under the “Wall of Kindness for Warm Clothes” initiative, as a significant effort to save the poor shivering in the severe cold.
Abdul Ghafoor Khanzada, patron of Khudi Welfare Organization and son of renowned businessman Shahid Shakoor Khanzada, explained the reason for their partnership. He said that their organization collaborates with Al-Khidmat because of its non-discriminatory, honest, and sincere spirit of public service.
Jamaat-e-Islami Sakrand Ameer Rao Zubair Mansoori also addressed the ceremony. He said that Al-Khidmat Foundation, comprising individuals trained by Jamaat-e-Islami, has established an excellent record of helping the poor and helpless in Sakrand as it has throughout the world.
Other officials who addressed the attendees included Al-Khidmat Sakrand’s Secretary Engineer Nisar Hussain, Vice President Rana Muhammad Younis, and Ashiq Hussain Pathan.
