The Transport and Mass Transit Department, Sindh has launched a widespread crackdown against vehicles operating on fake fitness certificates,.
The Secretary PTA has been directed to immediately cancel the route permits of all non-compliant vehicles. He further directed that the records of these vehicles be updated on the department’s live portal, legal cases be registered against the violators, and a detailed report on the actions taken be submitted within three days.
It has come to light that some transporters were obtaining fake fitness certificates through agents, allowing them to evade the mandatory physical inspection of their vehicles.
