Suspect arrested for aerial firing with unlicensed weapon during wedding in Khairpur

Khairpur police on Sunday detained a man for allegedly engaging in aerial firing during a wedding ceremony. According to reports, the accused was using an unlicensed weapon.

The action was carried out by the B-Section police station under the supervision of Station House Officer (SHO) Qamar Javed Kiyani, who initiated action upon receiving a report of celebratory firing.

Authorities have identified the arrested person as Irfan, son of Yar Muhammad Mallah. He is accused of endangering public lives by firing from an illegal pistol at the wedding ceremony.

During the arrest, police recovered an unlicensed pistol and bullets from the accused’s possession. A formal case has been registered against the said person in connection with the incident.
