The Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party (STP) has initiated a series of protests and demonstrations, alleging nepotism in government jobs and the distribution of farmer cards, claiming that deserving local farmers are being deprived of agricultural support cards due to irregularities.
As part of a district-wide campaign launched by the STP’s Qambar chapter, a demonstration was organized in Nasirabad on Sunday. The procession started from Shah Latif Public Park and concluded at the Nasirabad Sachal Press Club, led by the taluka and city-level party leadership.
The rally was led by local prominent figures including taluka leader Mansoor Ali Soomro, city president Sajan Ali Chandio, Naseer Noonari, Sakhawat Noonari, Imtiaz Ali Tunio, Hakeem Panhwar, and Sarai Muneer.
Addressing the participants, party officials stated that merit is being openly disregarded in the recruitment for Grade 1 to 4 vacancies. They further claimed that genuine agricultural workers (Haris) are being systematically deprived of their rightful Hari cards through a flawed issuance process.
The STP leadership demanded the immediate implementation of a transparent procedure for both the recruitment process and the distribution of Hari cards. They warned that failure to address these grievances would result in an intensification of their protest activities across the region.
