The domestic bullion market witnessed a significant and sharp increase in the value of gold on Tuesday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola increasing by a massive Rs 8,500 in a single day. In contrast, silver prices remained completely stable with no change.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola reached a new high of Rs 470,862. Following this upward trend, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also saw a substantial increase of Rs 7,288, with the new price becoming Rs 403,688.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also recorded an increase of Rs 6,681, closing at Rs 370,060.
This surge in the local market reflects developments at the global level, where the international price of gold reached $4,485 per ounce after an increase of $85.
On the other hand, the silver market showed complete stability. The price of 24-karat silver per tola remained unchanged at Rs 7,205, and the price of 10 grams of 24-karat silver remained stable at Rs 6,177. Internationally, no change was recorded in the price of silver, which remained at $69.30.
