Strict helmet enforcement in Rawalpindi leads to exceptional decline in head injuries in first 3 weeks of December

A record decrease in head injuries has been reported across Rawalpindi district during the initial three weeks of December, as a direct result of intensified road safety campaigns and strict law enforcement.

According to a report released by official sources on Wednesday, this significant reduction in head-related injuries, with figures also confirmed by regional hospitals, is being credited to a stringent crackdown against traffic law violations under the direction of DIG Traffic Punjab.

“Due to excellent enforcement, there has been a record decrease in head injuries,” said Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi, Farhan Aslam.

He confirmed that the authorities are pursuing a policy of full implementation of safety regulations. “We are ensuring 100 percent helmet compliance across the district. The use of seat belts in vehicles is also being enforced,” Mr. Aslam added.

The move is part of a province-wide mandate. “On the orders of the Chief Minister of Punjab, indiscriminate action against lawbreakers is ongoing,” said the CTO, confirming that, “all possible measures are being taken to secure the lives of citizens.”

A spokesperson stated that safety campaigns are showing positive results at all levels.

CTO Farhan Aslam thanked the local population for their cooperation. “We are grateful to the citizens for ensuring compliance with helmet and seat belt laws,” he said.
