In a significant move to protect public lives and property, authorities have today launched a strict crackdown against illegal Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) vendors in Shergarh and Hujra Shah Muqeem, resulting in the registration of seven cases and the sealing of several shops.

This enforcement action was carried out by Civil Defence teams under the direction of Okara’s Deputy Commissioner, Ahmad Usman Javed. These operations are being conducted as part of an ongoing campaign under the supervision of Civil Defence Officer Javed Akhtar Khichi.

During the raids, several unauthorized shops at various locations were sealed and their equipment was confiscated by the teams. Consequently, seven formal cases have been registered against the operators in the relevant police stations.

Civil Defence Officer Javed Akhtar Khichi stated that such illegal businesses pose a severe threat to human lives due to the risk of fire and explosions.

He affirmed that immediate and indiscriminate action will be taken against any individual involved in illegal LPG shops, filling points, or cylinder refilling. He warned that no leniency will be shown, and measures such as sealing their shops, confiscating equipment, and initiating further legal proceedings will be taken against violators.
