Pakistan and Brazil have reached an agreement to broaden their cooperation in the livestock, dairy, and meat sectors, a move aimed at enhancing Pakistan”s food security, creating employment, and significantly increasing its export capabilities.
According to a reporty by MOIB on Sunday, the collaboration is being facilitated under the framework of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). As part of the understanding, both nations are considering the formation of a joint working group. This body will focus on improving meat processing techniques, developing feedlot fattening practices, and establishing a comprehensive traceability system.
A key component of the accord involves the introduction of advanced Brazilian genetics and modern technology to modernise Pakistan’s dairy industry.
The planned reforms are expected to strengthen the country’s food security, generate new employment opportunities, and provide new impetus to Pakistani exports.
It is anticipated that these SIFC-led efforts will give the livestock and meat sector a new global identity, bolster its competitive strength, and improve investor confidence.
