Following the tragic fire at a shopping plaza on M.A. Jinnah Road, which resulted in several fatalities and severe financial losses, Dr. Lal Chand Ukrani, President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Minority Wing Sindh, has demanded an immediate and transparent investigation to determine responsibility.
Dr. Ukrani today expressed deep sorrow and sympathy with the families of the two individuals who lost their lives in the fire, stating that he shares equally in the grief of the bereaved families during this difficult time. He prayed for the deceased.
The PPP leader stressed the need for safety measures, demanding the implementation of effective fire safety arrangements in commercial buildings and strict enforcement of existing safety laws to prevent such tragedies in the future.
He emphasized that the protection of human lives is the top priority of the government and its affiliated institutions and warned that any negligence in this duty will not be tolerated.
