PM Sharif to Promote Dialogue and Investment at High-Stakes Davos Forum

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has departed for Davos, Switzerland, to represent Pakistan at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting, where he is set to address the challenge of restoring dialogue in a fractured global landscape and showcase the nation’s economic potential to international business leaders.

Accompanying the premier is a senior delegation, which includes Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, to support the diplomatic and economic engagements, according to an official information today.

A key feature of the Prime Minister’s agenda is his participation in the WEF’s Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders (IGWEL). The session, titled ‘Restoring a Spirit of Dialogue in a Divided World,’ will see him contribute to discussions on contemporary geopolitical challenges.

In a bid to attract foreign investment, the Prime Minister will also preside over a “High-level Business Roundtable” focused specifically on Pakistan, engaging directly with various corporate executives.

Numerous bilateral meetings are anticipated on the periphery of the main event, where the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold discussions with a number of global leaders and prominent figures from the business community.

Throughout his visit, a central part of the Prime Minister’s communications will involve articulating Pakistan’s viewpoint on international and regional peace and progress. He will also highlight the administration”s vision and accomplishments concerning the economy, trade, and available investment opportunities.
