Police Command Orders Fresh Inquiries into Serious Internal Matters

Senior police officials have been instructed to conduct new inquiries into serious internal matters following a high-level meeting aimed at addressing grievances within the capital’s police force.

The directive was issued by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Headquarters, Malik Jameel Zafar, during a formal hearing at the Central Police Office on Friday.

The assembly, known as an orderly room, was organised under a special directive from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to provide a platform for personnel to voice their departmental and personal concerns.

Law enforcement personnel from various divisions attended the session, presenting a range of professional and private difficulties directly to the DIG for consideration.

In response to the matters raised, DIG Zafar issued orders for the remaining problems to be addressed as a priority. He also highlighted several ongoing welfare initiatives for police staff, concerning housing, enhanced medical facilities, and the improvement of educational standards.

Addressing the personnel, he remarked that his office was always open to them and stressed the need for collective effort for the betterment of the city.

The DIG further emphasised that the fundamental purpose of organising the orderly room was to resolve the welfare, personal, and official challenges faced by police officials on a priority basis.
