Former Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan on Sunday urged the international community to declare India a terrorist state and place it on the financial surveillance grey list, stressing that minorities are not safe there. He alleged that from proxy conflicts to sports, India’s involvement in terrorism has become evident in countries like Canada, the US, Bangladesh, and the UK.

Dr. Khan paid tribute to Pakistan’s security forces for their “complete action” against “India’s insurgency” in Balochistan. He commended the leadership of Syed Asim Munir and said the army has successfully thwarted recent terrorism attempts by India and extremist elements, in which more than 145 people were killed. He saluted the martyred security personnel, calling them national heroes.

Appealing for political unity, the former governor advised all political parties to be united on national security matters and stand with the armed forces. He urged them to refrain from “point-scoring” and instead help make the country an economic hub. He reiterated that the workers of “My Identity Pakistan” and all 250 million citizens of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with the army.

Speaking on internal matters, Dr. Khan said that “Karachi is divided into pieces” and it should be given its due rights. He also demanded that the federation and all provinces fully implement the National Action Plan and hold regular meetings of the Apex Committee to crush terrorism threats.

He concluded by paying tribute to his association with the nation’s “finest soldiers,” offering a “salute of reverence” to the families of martyred military personnel.
